About the Location

Recreational Features

Rotary Park is a green space where you can unwind or get active. Whether you're on your own or with family, you'll find various options here.

The water playground or splash pad is particularly popular when the temperature rises, and it's a favorite with children. It runs daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day, however Mother Nature and maintenance needs occasionally have the final say. During summer months, you'll find families flocking here specifically for some water-based fun.

Trails and Connectivity

Need a peaceful walk? The park's quarter-mile walking trail is just right for a leisurely stroll, some light exercise, or taking your four-legged friend for a walk (leash required, of course). If you're feeling more adventurous, the trail connects to Country Club Park via the half-mile Rock Creek Trail, giving you more ground to cover.

Both walkers and cyclists enjoy these paths regularly. Just a heads-up though - there have been reports of a bridge being out on one section of the trail, which might affect your route planning.

Natural Features

Rock Creek adds a special touch to the park's charm. The creek isn't just pretty to look at - it's a mini-adventure waiting to happen, especially for families with kids who love nothing more than splashing around and exploring. The creek access is a bit of a quiet location that locals particularly appreciate.

Amenities

The park comes well-equipped with all the essentials: picnic tables, a picnic grill, and restrooms - making it ideal for everything from casual lunches to family gatherings. About 100 yards from the main shelter, you'll find a playground that's primarily designed for the younger crowd (kindergarten through 3rd grade), keeping the little ones entertained while adults can relax nearby.

There's also parking available, so you won't have to worry about where to leave your car.

Shelter and Reservations

Planning an event? The park features a shelter with four picnic tables that's great for birthday parties and group get-togethers. You can reserve it ahead of time to secure your spot. When you're wrapping up your visit, you'll discover trash containers near the parking areas - a small effort that helps keep this lovely space clean for everyone.

Park Guidelines

To keep things pleasant for all visitors, a few rules are in place: no amplified sound (your neighbors will thank you), no bounce houses or similar inflatables, and no alcoholic beverages.

Many locals visit this peaceful spot for its family-friendly environment, natural setting, and outdoor activities. As with any public space, it's good to stay aware of your surroundings and follow basic safety precautions while you enjoy all that Rotary Park has to offer.
