Location and Overview

Tucked away across from Park Hill High School, Barry Road Park spans nearly 11 acres of well-kept green space. It's a pleasant little spot that offers a peaceful escape while still being conveniently located. Despite not being the biggest park around, it's lovingly maintained and offers a quiet little oasis right in the neighborhood.

Amenities

If you've got kids in tow, you'll appreciate the two children's play areas with their modern equipment. Sure, some of the playground pieces are showing their age a bit, but everything remains clean and sturdy for the little ones. Tennis enthusiasts will feel right at home on the tennis courts, which come with the added bonus of lighting for those evening matches when the day has cooled off.

The paved walking trail winds through the park, offering a scenic route for your morning jog or afternoon stroll. It connects nicely to an exploration area and neighborhood sidewalks, making it easy to extend your walk if you're feeling ambitious.

When lunchtime rolls around, the covered picnic shelter provides a welcome bit of shade, with a water fountain conveniently nearby. It's positioned just right - close enough to the playground that you can keep an eye on the kids while enjoying your sandwich in peace.
