Trail Network
The park serves as one of the most popular trailheads for the Rock Island Rail Trail, while also being a destination in its own right. Spanning a relatively small area, the park features approximately one mile of trails that wind along Cedar Creek, showcasing waterfalls and rocky bluffs.
The park is connected to the adjacent Winterset Nature Area, which contains cliffs, boulders, and numerous small waterfalls along the stream. Trail extensions lead to a nearby neighborhood bluff that offers views overlooking the park.

The official trail within the park is about three-quarters of a mile long, with additional extensions available for those who wish to explore further.
The trails vary in surface type, with the portion bordering the baseball fields being paved, while the Winterset Nature Area trail and extensions are surfaced with wood chips. The connected Rock Island Rail Trail has a gravel surface.
