Looking to stretch your legs? The paved jogging trails that meander through Yellowstone Family Park are great for a morning walk, an afternoon jog, or just a leisurely stroll to clear your mind. If basketball is more your style, you'll discover a basketball court that's uniquely positioned above the playground area - giving it a cool, stadium-like feel that makes even casual games feel a bit special.

There's also an athletic field where you can toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball around, or organize an impromptu game of touch football. The open space gives you plenty of room to move and play however you'd like.

Fun for the Little Ones

Kids will gravitate toward the playground area that features equipment for various age groups. The climbing activities are well-maintained and offer just the right amount of challenge for adventurous little ones. Note that there aren't any swings here, so if your child is a swing enthusiast, you might want to keep that in mind.

Places to Chill

When it's time to refuel or just take a break, head to the picnic site. There's a charming gazebo nestled between the basketball court and playground that's fitted with picnic benches - an excellent spot to enjoy some sandwiches, have a small gathering, or simply sit in the shade with a good book.

Spread across 4.5 acres in Billings, Montana, this public park has a park shelter that you can reserve for events, or just claim on a first-come, first-served basis if you're planning something special. It provides nice coverage from surprise rain showers or the intense summer sun.

Good to Know

Yellowstone Family Park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 10PM. One thing to keep in mind: there are no public restrooms available, so plan accordingly. During those hot Montana summer days, the playground equipment can get pretty toasty, so you might want to time your visits for mornings or evenings when the sun isn't directly overhead.
