Park Overview

Located in southwest Omaha, Nebraska, Prairie Lane Park is a welcoming community green space that locals have come to love. You'll come across this outdoor haven near 115th & Hascall Street, offering a breath of fresh air and plenty of recreational options for everyone from serious athletes to families just looking to spend some time outside. The park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 11PM, with well-kept grounds that make every visit pleasant.

Pickleball Paradise

If you're into pickleball (and who isn't these days?), you're in for a treat. The park has 10 outdoor pickleball courts - 8 dedicated specifically to the sport and 2 more lined on existing tennis courts.

The courts are free to use and work on a first-come, first-served basis during regular hours. Weekday mornings tend to buzz with activity, with Thursday mornings drawing a particularly competitive crowd. Many beginners find themselves making new friends and improving their skills during regular play.

Just a heads-up: during summer months, Pickleball Omaha (a local club) often reserves 8 of the 10 courts after 9:30 AM on certain days. If you find yourself becoming a regular, you might consider joining the club for more structured play opportunities.

Beyond Pickleball

Not into pickleball? No problem. The park doesn't play favorites with its tennis courts and sandlot ball diamond catering to different athletic interests.

There's also a disc golf basket available for casual practice - ideal for working on your short game or introducing someone new to the sport without committing to a full course.

Kid-Friendly Fun

The playground area is a hit with families, featuring swings and climbing frames where little ones can burn off energy while parents chat nearby. The open layout makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they explore and make new friends.
