This park has a little something for everyone. With its well-kept grounds and open spaces, it's become a go-to spot for locals looking to enjoy some fresh air or gather with friends and family.

If basketball is your game, you're in luck - the park houses four basketball courts where you can shoot some hoops or join a pickup game. Three courts come with single rims, while one features a double rim for those looking for an extra challenge. What we appreciate is how well-maintained these courts are - no annoying cracks to trip over. Plus, the evening lighting means your game doesn't have to end when the sun goes down.

Pet and Children Areas

Dog owners will appreciate that The park includes two separate dog areas where your four-legged friends can run free without a leash. These enclosed spaces give your pups plenty of room to sprint and socialize, but it's worth noting they don't have double gates at the entrances.

If you're bringing the kids along, you can find two adjacent playgrounds that cater to different age groups. The smaller one is fantastic for little ones (2-5 years), while older kids (5-12 years) can challenge themselves on the more advanced climbing structures and unique play equipment nearby.

Picnic and Leisure Spaces

For outdoor meals, the park has a shaded area with four tables - particularly useful during those hot Nevada days. You'll also find several picnic spots complete with tables and barbecue grills scattered throughout. Just a heads up: you can reserve these areas ahead of time through the City of Henderson website or with a quick phone call.

Beyond the designated areas, the expansive grass fields give you plenty of space for a casual soccer match, frisbee toss, picnic blanket, or just lounging around soaking up some vitamin D.

Additional Amenities

During those scorching summer months, the splash pad becomes the park's most popular feature. Kids can dart through the water jets to cool off during hot days.

You can find restroom facilities onsite for when nature calls, but note that they don't currently have baby changing stations installed.

Location and Access

Located next to a fire station and near a church, Amador Vista Park is rarely overcrowded and usually has plenty of parking spots available. It's open daily from 6AM to midnight, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer.
