Sports Amenities

The softball facilities earned the title of Outstanding Park from the National Softball Association in 2011 and 2012. The fields are meticulously maintained, and the shaded spectator areas are a real blessing during those scorching Nevada days.

During games and tournaments, you can grab some reasonably priced snacks at the well-stocked snack bar. If basketball is more your thing, you'll appreciate the quality court surfaces and good lighting that makes evening games possible.

If you're a dog parent, you'll love the spacious dog park with its three distinct sections - one for the little pups, another for the big dogs, and a separate yard specifically for agility training. It's thoughtfully designed so your four-legged friend can socialize and exercise safely with others their size.

The park also caters to those interested in less mainstream sports with its horseshoe pits and disc golf course. The disc golf layout works nicely with the natural environment, although be prepared for some sun exposure as shade can be limited in certain areas.

Arroyo Grande connects to the broader Pittman Wash Trail system. This means you can easily extend your journey to reach the Union Pacific Railroad Trail or Cornerstone Park if you're feeling adventurous. These connected paths are excellent for walking, jogging, or biking through Henderson's green corridors.

The entire complex is accessible for people with mobility challenges, with appropriate pathways and facilities throughout. Open daily from 6AM until midnight, the flexible hours make it easy to fit a visit into your schedule, whether you're an early bird or night owl.
