In 2017, Clark County approved nearly $3 million in improvements for Alexander Villas Park. These upgrades included new playground equipment, new lighting, a new basketball court, a new trail, and a climbing wall, among other amenities.

The improvements were funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as the park is located in an area where a majority of nearby households are considered low to moderate income.
