Tucked away in Sparks, Nevada, Kestrel Park is a cozy 3-acre green space that is the neighborhood's communal backyard. Connected by concrete walkways that weave through the residential area, this little oasis offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of street traffic.

What You'll Find Here

The park centers around an inviting grassy area fantastic for throwing a frisbee or spreading out a picnic blanket. If you have little ones in tow, the playground features swings and climbing structures that are especially well-suited for younger children.

Fancy shooting some hoops? The half basketball court is ideal for a quick game or practicing your jump shot.

When the Nevada sun gets a bit too intense, the gazebo provides a welcome patch of shade where you can catch your breath and cool down.

Paved pathways meander through the park, making it a natural choice for walking, jogging, or a leisurely bike ride. The City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department keeps Kestrel Park in good shape year-round, ensuring it remains a pleasant community space.

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 9:30PM. Since dedicated parking is limited, most people simply walk over from nearby homes - true to its nature as a neighborhood park.
