Located in Albuquerque's west side, Parkway Park is a little green haven in the Parkway neighborhood. This community park is a local gathering spot where neighbors connect and unwind.

With its expansive green spaces, there's plenty of room to spread out, toss a frisbee, or simply lie back and cloud-watch. The peaceful vibe here provides a wonderful escape from the everyday hustle - something we could all use a bit more of these days.

Something for Everyone

If you've got kids in tow, the modest playground area offers enough fun to burn off some energy. Meanwhile, the walking paths winding through the grounds are excellent for an evening stroll, morning jog, or walking your four-legged friends.

Thankfully, the park's trees create pockets of shade throughout, making even summer visits bearable. You'll come across benches scattered around where you can catch your breath, read a book, or simply watch the world go by.

Perhaps the most appreciated feature is the covered seating area - a true blessing during New Mexico's intense sunny days or during unexpected rain showers. It's a simple addition that makes the park usable year-round.

The well-maintained field space works perfectly for impromptu soccer games, yoga sessions, or whatever group activity strikes your fancy. While it's a great spot for spreading out a blanket for a casual picnic, keep in mind that formal picnic facilities are limited.

You can visit anytime between 8AM and 10PM daily, making it easy to fit some green time into your schedule. One thing to note - there are no public restrooms available, so plan accordingly before your visit.
