About the Location
Play & Sports Areas
With two baseball fields nestled in this green space, Reed Webster Park gives both local teams and casual players a place to enjoy America's favorite pastime. Kids can burn off energy at the playground, which features newer equipment excellent for climbing, sliding, and imagining.
Tennis enthusiasts can rally on the courts, however they're showing their age a bit and could use some fresh surfacing. If basketball or volleyball is more your speed, the park has basketball courts and a volleyball court to round out your sporting options.
Paths & Green Spaces
One of the park's best features is its access to the Erie Canal Trail that winds through the grounds. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll, getting your morning jog in, or cycling with friends, this trail is excellent.
The path here actually connects to the original Erie Canal route and might eventually link up with the Onondaga Lake path too. It's perfect if you're looking to stretch your legs for a longer adventure or just enjoy some fresh air and scenery.
Social Spots
Need a place for your next family reunion or group gathering? The large pavilion provides shelter for events. It can host up to 100 people and is available to reserve (with different rates depending on whether you're a Camillus resident or not).
Under the pavilion, you'll find plenty of picnic tables ideal for shared meals and celebrations. Around the park, you'll also spot grilling areas where you can cook up something delicious while enjoying the outdoors.
Practical Stuff
When nature calls, you can find clean restrooms available - though they're functional rather than fancy and could probably use some updating.
Parking is plentiful, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot even on busier days.
Good to Know
The park operates on a "Carry In/Carry Out" trash policy, so be prepared to take your garbage with you when you leave.
Dog lovers take note: your four-legged friends aren't allowed at Reed Webster Park, with signs posted throughout as reminders. Despite this restriction, the park remains a peaceful retreat for picnics, casual games, and simply enjoying a beautiful day outside.
