Development History

Established as a public park, Skiddy Park has undergone several improvements over the years to meet the evolving needs of residents. In 2005, a significant addition was made with the construction of a baseball diamond, funded through a combination of sources including Major League Baseball's Baseball Tomorrow Fund, as well as state and city funding.

The park features a mix of athletic facilities and recreational amenities catering to various age groups and interests. In 2012, further enhancements were made to Skiddy Park through the Onondaga County Save the Rain program, in collaboration with the Near West Side Initiative and support from the Jim & Juli Boeheim and Carmelo K. Anthony Foundations.
