At the heart of the park, you'll find a youth baseball/softball field where future MVPs practice their swings and catches. Exciting changes are on the horizon! In 2024, the City of Durham kicked off a public art project to breathe new life into this local hangout. The centerpiece will be an inclusive ground mural painted right on the basketball court, designed to welcome players of all abilities.

The creative makeover might not stop there - there's talk of adding artistic benches and vinyl basketball goal designs to further enhance the park's appeal. It's all about creating a space that feels as good as it looks.
