Greenfield Park

Greenfield Park is a 250-acre public park located in Wilmington, North Carolina. The park is centered around the scenic Greenfield Lake, which covers a significant portion of the grounds. A 4.8-mile paved trail encircles the lake, providing visitors with opportunities for walking, jogging, and biking while enjoying views of the water and surrounding cypress trees draped in Spanish moss.

The park features diverse ecosystems, including wetlands and wooded areas, making it a popular spot for wildlife viewing and bird watching. Visitors may spot various bird species, turtles, and even alligators in their natural habitat. The lake itself is a focal point for recreational activities, with paddleboats, kayaks, and canoes available for rent at the boathouse managed by Cape Fear River Watch.
