About the Location

Fun for Everyone

Jamison Park has a playground that's great for the kiddos, complete with modern equipment for them to climb and explore. There's even a handicap accessible swing - a thoughtful touch that makes play more inclusive.

Just a heads up: some of the equipment could use a little TLC. The dog park here features separate areas for small and large dogs.

Your pups can hydrate at the water stations and even chase tennis balls that are provided. It's a good spot for your dog to exercise and socialize.

One of our favorite features is the connection to the Muddy Creek Greenway. This three-mile paved trail is wonderfully flat (your knees will thank you) and follows alongside a creek.

Regardless of whether you're walking, jogging, or cycling, you won't have to worry about tackling any major hills here.

Natural Beauty

The park offers some genuinely pretty scenery with open spaces that invite you to breathe deep and relax. The creek that runs by the trail is a highlight - when the weather warms up, both kids and dogs love splashing around in it to cool off.

During summer, the trees along the trail provide welcome shade, creating a cooler microclimate that makes outdoor exercise much more bearable. The playground and dog park areas are a bit more exposed to the sun, but they've planted young trees in the dog park that will eventually grow to offer more coverage.

Gather & Celebrate

The park offers picnic facilities including a covered pavilion that's useful on days with uncertain weather.

You'll find tables and large grills within the park for hosting gatherings from small BBQs to family reunions.

Practical Perks

Jamison Park includes several practical amenities. Clean restrooms are available in the central pavilion building, and there are water fountains when you need to hydrate.

Available features include electrical outlets, overhead lighting for evening use, and electric vehicle charging stations.

There's plenty of parking available, but it's worth noting that traffic on Meadowlark Drive can get congested during school drop-off and pick-up times, so plan accordingly if you're visiting then.

Community Hub

Situated right next to Meadowlark Elementary and Meadowlark Middle schools, this park is a neighborhood gathering spot.

It combines recreational facilities and natural spaces, suitable for various activities from birthday parties to daily workouts.

The park also hosts community events year-round, including the popular Run the Greenway race series - so you might just stumble upon some local festivities during your visit.
