Park Overview

Smale Riverfront Park is a 32-acre urban park located along the banks of the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Opened in 2012, the park serves as a connection between the city's downtown area and the riverfront, offering residents and visitors a space for recreation, relaxation, and community gatherings.

Landscape and Features

The park features a variety of landscapes, including gardens, lawns, and paved walkways. One of its most notable features is the series of fountains and water features, including interactive splash areas that are popular with children during warm weather.

The park also incorporates elements of Cincinnati's history, with features like the Black Brigade Monument honoring African American soldiers who defended the city during the Civil War.

Recreation Areas

Smale Riverfront Park offers numerous recreational opportunities. The Adventure Playground provides a unique play area for children, while the Heekin/PNC Grow Up Great Adventure Playground offers additional play structures.

For adults, there are large porch-style swings facing the river, providing a relaxing spot to enjoy views of the Ohio River and the Roebling Suspension Bridge.
