Positioned in Cincinnati's landscape, Veterans Park spans a generous 13.1 acres that invite you to relax, play, and remember. Originally established in 1978 as Forest Park, it found its true identity in 1997 when it was rededicated as Veterans Park to honor Anderson residents who served in the armed forces.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, a separate nature trail winds through wooded areas, providing a quiet retreat from urban life where you can reconnect with nature.

Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the five Parcourse FitCircuit stations positioned along the main trail. The recently updated equipment offers everything from knee lifts to chin-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, and bench dips - essentially an outdoor gym with fresh air thrown in for free.

Game On

Sports fans haven't been forgotten. The park features a ball diamond, soccer fields, a basketball court with glass backboards, and racquetball courts that host everything from casual games to organized youth sporting events.

Gather and Celebrate

Need space for a family reunion or birthday celebration? Two reservable shelters await. The larger shelter near the playground accommodates up to 80 people and comes equipped with picnic tables, electrical outlets, lights, and a grill - practically everything except the food itself.

For more intimate gatherings, the smaller shelter at the back of the park seats 16 and features a fire ring that's meant for scout troops or small get-togethers where stories around a fire make the best memories.

The Practical Stuff

You'll find clean, well-maintained restrooms open year-round (though one may close during particularly harsh winter weather). The men's restroom even features extra heaters when the temperature drops - a small but appreciated touch of comfort.

Handicap parking spots at the top of the park ensure accessibility, while paved paths throughout make navigation easier for visitors with mobility challenges.
