About the Location

A Glimpse of Nature's History

Found in Cincinnati's Mount Auburn neighborhood at 2308 Vine Street, Inwood Park spans nearly 20 acres of green escape with a past as textured as its landscape. Once an old stone quarry, this urban oasis was transformed into public parkland back in 1904 - talk about a glow-up!

Walking through Inwood feels like stepping into a pocket of wilderness, with its rolling hills and canopy of mature trees creating a peaceful retreat from city life. The lake adds a touch of tranquility to the scenery, but keep in mind it's seasonal and might not be filled year-round.

Perhaps one of the park's best-kept secrets is its spectacular view of Over the Rhine from its elevated perch. If you're looking for a great Cincinnati skyline photo, this vantage point offers an excellent perspective.

Fresh Facilities for New Adventures

Inwood Park got a major refresh recently, with 2021 bringing the impressive PNC Grow Up Great® Playground - now the largest play area in any Cincinnati Park. The playground features a thoughtful design that accommodates children of all abilities.

Kids' eyes light up at the 90-foot zip line that lets them soar through the air, while the musical instruments scattered throughout invite impromptu concerts. The variety of swings, including a fully accessible ADA swing, means no child has to miss out on the fun. Many families with children of different ages appreciate this inclusive space.

Comfort in the Great Outdoors

Inwood caters to everyone, not just the little ones. Beyond the main playground up top, you'll discover another play area in the lower section near Vine Street.

Looking for a picnic spot? You're in luck. The park offers extensive picnic areas with plenty of green space to spread out a blanket. Planning something bigger? The large shelter can be reserved for gatherings, while numerous shaded tables across the grounds provide perfect spots for casual lunches or afternoon reading.

You'll also find portable restrooms available - a practical touch that makes longer visits much more comfortable.

Room to Roam

Whether you're seeking exercise or relaxation, Inwood has options for both. The paved walking trail offers an easy path for a peaceful stroll or a quick cardio session with a view.

Four-legged family members are welcome too! The park is dog-friendly with plenty of space to explore, however remember to bring bags to clean up after your pup.

With its natural beauty, modern amenities, and city views, Inwood Park provides a green retreat in Cincinnati's urban landscape.
