Delco Park

History and Origins

Delco Park is a 120-acre public park located in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. The park has a rich history dating back to 1953 when it was originally created as the Delco Sportsman's Club by Charles F. Kettering, the inventor and industrialist who founded Delco Electronics.

In the early 1990s, when General Motors decided to leave the Dayton area, Virginia Kettering lobbied for the land to be donated to the City of Kettering. The park was then renamed Delco Park and opened to the public, serving as a popular destination for residents and visitors alike.

Recreational Facilities

Delco Park features a variety of recreational facilities and natural areas. The park includes a large lake with a fishing pier, providing opportunities for fishing and enjoying the water.
