About the Location

History

Kanak Park is located in the Old North Dayton neighborhood of Dayton, Ohio. The park was dedicated in the spring of 2007 to honor Joseph R. Kanak, who dedicated his life to Old North Dayton as an active volunteer.

Kanak was one of the founders of the Old North Dayton Neighborhood Association and the Old North Dayton Development Corporation. He also served as Chairman of the Northeast Priority Board for many years.
