Neighborhood Retreat

Positioned on just under 7 acres, Eastwood Park is that perfect little escape right in the middle of Norman's residential streets. There's something wonderfully convenient about having this green oasis just steps away from home - no need to plan a big expedition when you're just looking for some fresh air and open space.

Natural Features

Walk along Bishop Creek and you'll find yourself under the cool shade of mature trees that have been standing watch for years. It's amazing how the temperature seems to drop a few degrees once you step under their canopy. The creek area isn't just pretty - it's a little ecosystem right in the middle of the neighborhood.

One of our favorite spots has to be the pollinator garden. On warm days, you can watch butterflies flutter from flower to flower, doing their important work. It's a small but mighty contribution to local biodiversity, and honestly, who doesn't love seeing butterflies?

Amenities

Eastwood may not be the biggest park in town, but it has the essentials covered. Kids can burn off energy on the playground equipment while adults can take a breather on nearby benches. Plenty of little ones having the time of their lives on those swings!

There are picnic tables scattered throughout, ideal for impromptu lunches or weekend gatherings. Nothing fancy, just practical spots to sit and enjoy a sandwich or snack while watching the world go by.

Accessibility

The City of Norman's Parks and Recreation Department keeps Eastwood in good shape year-round. The park welcomes everyone with wheelchair-accessible paths in most areas, though you should note that some parts of the park may have limited accessibility depending on weather conditions and terrain.
