Reaves Park

History and Location

Found in the heart of Norman, Oklahoma, Reaves Park stretches across a generous 78 acres near the University of Oklahoma campus along Jenkins Avenue. It's one of Norman's oldest and largest community green spaces, with an interesting backstory - before becoming the popular park it is today, this land actually served as a Naval Air Station during World War II until its transformation into public grounds in the 1960s.

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM until midnight. A practical heads-up: while portable toilets are available across the grounds, permanent restroom facilities are limited. You'll come across plenty of parking, which is especially helpful during the park's popular events and sports tournaments.
