Earlywine Park

Park History

Nestled at the intersection of Southwest 119th Street and May Avenue, Earlywine Park sprawls across a generous 98.2 acres of Oklahoma City greenspace. This green space has been part of the community since 1961, when it was named after Cecil Earlywine as part of the land sale agreement to the city. Today, it's a popular spot where locals and visitors come to play, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.

Walking & Exercise

Need to clear your head or get your steps in? The park's 1.5-mile lighted walking trail might become your new favorite spot. This paved asphalt loop circles the entire park, offering a peaceful journey through natural surroundings. It's impressively well-maintained year-round, and if you're an early bird, you might find yourself becoming part of the friendly morning walker community that regularly gathers here. The clean, safe environment makes it ideal for your daily exercise routine.

Sports Facilities

Whether you're a casual player or more competitive, Earlywine offers an array of athletic options. Aquatic Center

When summer temperatures climb, the Earlywine Family Aquatic Center offers a cool retreat. With its beach-like entry and variety of water features, it offers refreshing fun for everyone. Swimming lanes accommodate serious swimmers, while water toys, spray fountains, and gently bubbling geysers entertain the little ones. The center features towering slides, including a giant toilet bowl-style waterslide that fits double tubes.

During summer months, swimming lessons are available, and there are clean locker rooms and plenty of shaded seating for those who prefer to stay dry while supervising.

YMCA Facility

The Earlywine YMCA adds year-round recreation options to the park's offerings. Inside, you'll find fitness equipment and an indoor swimming pool with lap lanes that's particularly valuable during winter when the outdoor aquatic center closes. The Y's water aerobics classes have gained a strong following, especially among seniors looking for low-impact exercise options.

Dog-Friendly Environment

Four-legged family members are welcome at Earlywine Park, however they do need to stay leashed. The walking trail and grassy areas provide plenty of space for you and your pup to get exercise together. Thoughtfully placed waste stations with bags make clean-up convenient, helping maintain the park's cleanliness for everyone.
