The park is a patchwork of different natural habitats - mature woodlands give way to open grasslands, while a creek-fed lake adds to the scenic variety. Over 3.5 miles of hiking trails meander through these landscapes, giving you front-row access to the local ecosystem.

The wildlife viewing here is quite good. Keep your eyes peeled for cottontail rabbits, deer, owls, foxes, and more elusive residents like coyotes and beavers. Lucky visitors often spot deer grazing during evening hours, while turtles can be seen basking in the sun near the water's edge.

Visitor Amenities

When nature calls, portable toilets are available in the parking area, while indoor restrooms can be accessed when the visitor center is open. The trails are well-maintained and clearly marked, with educational signage that helps you understand what you're seeing.
