Aaronson Park
About Aaronson Park
Park Overview
Found in Tulsa's Regency Park neighborhood, Aaronson Park spans 16 acres of green space that's been serving the community since the 1960s. It offers green space for neighbors and visitors, with various amenities to enjoy. The park recently got a natural upgrade with 15 new trees, adding to its already peaceful atmosphere.
Trails and Pathways
Need a place for your daily steps? The park's 0.6-mile walking trail winds through the grounds, offering an excellent route for morning jogs, afternoon walks, or evening strolls. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the park's natural beauty without having to venture far from home. It's generally quieter than the more popular LaFortune Park nearby.
Sports Facilities
The park includes several options for physical activity. There are basketball courts (two half-courts) where you can shoot some hoops or play a friendly game. Tennis enthusiasts will appreciate the tennis courts for matches or practice sessions. And if organized sports aren't your thing, the open field provides plenty of space for whatever moves you - flying kites on breezy days, playing fetch with your dog, or just kicking a ball around.
Family Amenities
Kids have their own space to burn energy at the playground area. It's simple but sweet, but you should know there aren't any swings. For family gatherings or meet-ups with friends, the picnic facilities make for an ideal setting. The park's spacious layout and calm environment create an ideal backdrop for spreading out a blanket, enjoying a meal outdoors, or finding a quiet corner to get lost in a good book.
Visitor Information
Just a heads-up: you won't find public restrooms or trash cans here, so plan accordingly if you're thinking of a longer visit. What you will find is a peaceful neighborhood park - generally quiet and uncrowded.
Location and Access
You'll find Aaronson Park northeast of 51st Street and Memorial Drive, making it easily accessible for nearby residents. It's a pleasant neighborhood green space in this corner of Tulsa.
