The park unfolds as a narrow strip of grassy area between Pacific Park Lane and the river, complemented by a gently sloping meadow above the street and parking area. Mature trees dot the landscape, providing welcome shade on sunny Oregon days.

Features & Amenities

Though modest in scale, Pacific Park has become something of a local favorite for fishing enthusiasts. It's also a wonderful spot to unpack a lunch and enjoy the riverside ambience, or simply sit back and watch for the wildlife that frequents the area.

Along a portion of the riverfront, you'll discover a 3-4 foot stone retaining wall that adds character to the landscape. Take a moment to check out the interpretive signage that tells the story of the park's history, and don't miss the peace pole that displays messages in six different languages - a quiet reminder of unity in this peaceful setting.

Trail Connections

If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, the park connects seamlessly to the Deschutes River Trail via improved paved paths. A helpful directional sign makes navigation a breeze, even for first-time visitors.

The summer of 2023 brought exciting upgrades to the trail section heading south toward Drake Park, including a new boardwalk that hugs the river's edge. These improvements have made the path more accessible while offering even better views of the water - meant for a leisurely stroll or a quick commute through some of Bend's most scenic spots.
