About the Location
Natural Setting
Situated along the Tualatin River and Rock Creek in southeast Hillsboro, this 61-acre community park features both wooded areas and open meadows. Over 43 acres consist of forest and floodplain habitat, creating a diverse ecosystem for visitors to explore.
The park's location at the confluence of the Tualatin River and Rock Creek makes it an ideal spot for observing riparian ecosystems.

Trails and Recreation
A network of paved and unpaved trails winds through the park, totaling over 18,000 feet in length. These paths provide excellent opportunities for walking, jogging, and nature observation.
For recreation, the park offers tennis courts, a playground, and a small boat launch providing access to the Tualatin River. Several covered picnic shelters are available throughout the park.
Lloyd Baron Rhododendron Garden
One of the park's notable features is the Lloyd Baron Rhododendron Garden, which contains over 550 species of rhododendrons and azaleas spread across 1.5 acres. The garden includes a pond with waterfalls and a pavilion designed for events like weddings.

River House
Rood Bridge Park contains the River House, a nearly 3,000 square foot lodge-style building that can be rented for educational classes and private functions. The building has a central meeting room, kitchen, restrooms, and activity spaces.
Wildlife and Community Use
Wildlife enthusiasts can observe various bird species in the park, including woodpeckers, owls, and waterfowl.
The park serves as a venue for community events and is used as a training ground for the local high school's cross-country team.
