At the heart of the park stands the Asahel Bush House, an Italianate Victorian mansion dating back to 1878. Now operating as the Bush House Museum, visitors can take guided tours to see the period furnishings and original wallpapers that offer a window into 19th-century Salem life.

Right next door is the Bush Conservatory from 1882, thought to be one of the oldest in the Pacific Northwest. This historic greenhouse houses various tropical plants and flora - a surprisingly educational spot that's worth visiting any time of year.
