Getting There

You'll find this quiet retreat off Dauphin Street, conveniently close to the American Parkway Bridge and Coca-Cola Park (home of the IronPigs, if you're a baseball fan). The site boasts a spacious parking area with plenty of shade - perfect if you're bringing a vehicle with a boat trailer in tow.

River Recreation

The main draw here? Kimmett's Lock is a boat launch giving you direct access to the Lehigh River. If boating isn't your thing, grab your fishing gear instead and try your luck in the river's waters. Even if you're just passing through, the natural riverside setting offers a peaceful escape from the nearby urban bustle.

Trail Status

While you'll spot signs marking this as a trailhead for the Delaware & Lehigh Trail, don't expect a lengthy hike. Currently, the trail abruptly ends shortly after it begins, without connections north or south. Keep in mind this is primarily a functional site - you won't find restrooms or picnic tables here, so plan accordingly before your visit.
