While the lower loop keeps things relatively flat, venture up past the statue of General Harry Trexler (the park's founder) and you'll discover yourself on a more challenging route with some inclines. The effort pays off though - the upper loop offers nice panoramic views of the park and South Mountain stretching into the distance.

While there aren't designated picnic tables, the spacious grassy areas are ideal for a blanket and a packed lunch. The paved paths across the park are ADA accessible, making Trexler friendly for strollers and wheelchairs too.
