We've found it to be a fantastic escape when city life gets overwhelming. There's something magical about sitting by the water's edge, watching the sunrise paint the sky in brilliant colors over the river. The peaceful atmosphere here is a welcome contrast to Philadelphia's urban hustle.

Historic Pools with Fins and Shells

One of the park's most fascinating features is the remnants of an early 20th century fish hatchery. Today, these old ponds serve as calm fishing spots where parents teach little ones the art of patience with a fishing rod. Keep your eyes peeled for the numerous turtles that call these waters home - they're quite the attraction for kids and adults alike.

From the shore, you can gaze across to Amico Island Park in New Jersey, adding depth to the already picturesque waterfront views. While the hatchery area could use some TLC in places, it remains a wonderful spot to learn about local aquatic ecosystems.
