Phillips Park is an urban park located in the Carrick neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The park has a rich history, originally known by several names including Dilly's Grove, Southern Park, and Carrick Park.
In its early days, it served as a "Trolley Park" at the end of the public transit line, featuring amusement park rides, performances, and other attractions.
Park Origins
The City of Pittsburgh purchased the park in 1904 for $29,000. It was later named after John MacFarlane Phillips, a Carrick resident who organized the first Boy Scout troop in Pennsylvania.
Situated between Brownsville Road and Route 51, near Pittsburgh Carrick High School, Phillips Park offers a variety of recreational facilities.

Recreational Offerings
One of the park's notable features is its 9-hole disc golf course. The course takes advantage of the park's topography, offering elevated shots through generous fairways, fast greens, and out-of-bounds areas.
