History and Location
Created in 1894, Riverview Park is a 259-acre urban green space located on Pittsburgh's North Side. The park predates the City of Allegheny's annexation to Pittsburgh in 1907. Originally farmland, Riverview Park is now known for its dense woodlands and steep topography.
The park is nestled between Perrysville Avenue, Woods Run, and Marshall Avenue, showcasing dramatic hillsides and natural beauty that make it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Trails and Recreation
Riverview Park features an extensive network of wooded trails that invite hikers, joggers, and occasional horseback riders. The popular two-mile Riverview Loop is a favorite among regular park-goers.
