New Life on the Horizon

The good news? Change is coming. The City of Pittsburgh's Department of Public Works has the park scheduled for a much-needed makeover in 2024. Though the renovation hit a snag when issues arose with the original site contractor (as of December 2024), don't worry - the city has confirmed that work will pick back up in spring with a fresh contractor at the helm.

The upcoming renovations will include new playground equipment that was chosen based on input from the community.

Beyond the fun stuff, the project will tackle those safety concerns head-on by upgrading the existing retaining wall and installing new safety surfacing in the play areas. These practical improvements should make the park both more enjoyable and more secure for everyone who visits.
