Walking Track

A notable feature here is the full walking track with lights - relatively unique among recreation centers in Richland County. The track comes with clearly marked lanes separating runners from walkers (because nobody needs that awkward pace conflict), and if you're counting, four laps equals exactly one mile.

Thanks to the lighted track, early birds and night owls alike can get their steps in, with hours running from 5 AM to 9:45 PM. Note that the track is dedicated to foot traffic only - bicycles, roller blades, pets, and kids under 8 aren't permitted.

The track has become something of a neighborhood meeting point, with many locals making it part of their daily routine. Some have even formed walking groups that meet regularly, turning exercise into a social event.
