What You'll Find Here

Spread across nearly 5 acres, Olympia Park offers a cozy retreat with a playground area where the little ones can burn off energy. We appreciate that they've installed rubber pellet surfacing underneath - definitely makes for softer landings when kids inevitably take a tumble. If basketball is your thing, the courts here are well-suited for shooting some hoops or joining an impromptu game.

Need a spot for lunch? The picnic facilities come complete with tables where you can enjoy a meal outdoors or simply hang out with friends under the open sky.

Taking a Stroll

One of our favorite features has to be the paved walking trail. While it's not particularly long, it provides a nice loop for a quick walk or jog through this neighborhood green space. The trail is well-maintained and accessible for most visitors.

The small creek running alongside adds a peaceful natural element, but be aware it can cause the area to flood occasionally. If you're lucky, you might spot some local wildlife - We've seen hawks circling overhead during our visits.

The Setting

Tucked near the Congaree River in the Olympia community, this park offers a tranquil escape with some pretty nice views. What makes it interesting is how it provides these pockets of calm greenery within a downtown setting. You can capture some surprisingly beautiful photos here, with the contrast between nature and urban elements.

Community Hub

This isn't just a park - it's a neighborhood gathering spot. During the year, you can find various local events happening here, bringing the community together.

The park sits near the historic Olympia Mill area, creating an interesting connection between the modern green space and the area's industrial heritage.
