Features and Amenities

Situated on about 2 acres of land, Dalewood Park is a cozy neighborhood retreat that packs quite a bit into its modest footprint. The park features open grassy spaces where you can spread out a blanket for a picnic or engage in some casual sports. The large field gives you plenty of room to kick a soccer ball around without the worry of accidentally sending it crashing into someone's car or living room window.

A paved walking trail meanders through the park, excellent for those looking to get in some steps or just enjoy a peaceful stroll. The path is easily accessible regardless of mobility level and creates a simple loop around the park - nothing too strenuous, but just right for a bit of fresh air.

Playground

Kids will make a beeline for the playground area equipped with the classics - slides and swings that have been entertaining little ones for generations. There's enough space for about 15 children to play simultaneously, making it a hub for families in the area.

Note that while the playground gets plenty of love from the community, there have been some maintenance concerns, including holes in the playground area that you might want to watch out for if you're bringing children.

Picnic Facilities

When hunger strikes, head to the covered pavilion which houses two picnic tables - a welcome refuge on sunny or drizzly days alike. If that's occupied, there's an additional picnic table on the other side of the playground.

Benches dot the landscape across the park, offering plenty of spots to take a load off and watch the world go by.

Community Space

At its heart, this park is a neighborhood gathering spot. Its central location makes it an easy destination for locals looking to get outside without venturing far from home. Families from the surrounding area frequently come here to unwind and let the kids burn off some energy.

The thoughtful design incorporates both sun-soaked open areas and shaded spots, giving you options regardless of the weather. The grass maintenance can be hit or miss depending on the season, so you might want to check the conditions before planning any events that require pristine turf.
