At just over 11,000 square feet, Church Street Park is one of downtown Nashville's smallest green spaces - and also one of its most welcome. It's a compact spot where city dwellers and tourists alike can pause and recharge right in the heart of Music City.

Fresh Face After 2021 Makeover

In 2021, the park got a much-needed refresh thanks to the combined efforts of Metro Parks, the Historic Capitol Corridor Foundation, and the Nashville Downtown Partnership. What was once an overlooked corner of downtown has transformed into a welcoming public space where you might want to linger awhile.

You'll notice the difference immediately in the well-kept grounds and thoughtful touches throughout. Park attendants are often around to help out and keep things looking nice - a small detail that makes a big difference in maintaining the park's charm.

What You'll Find Here

The park strikes a nice balance between landscaped areas and open spaces. Mature trees create pools of shade throughout - absolutely essential during those sweltering Tennessee summers and pleasant year-round.

Scattered across the park are coffee tables and seating areas where you can settle in with a book, unleash your inner artist, enjoy a packed lunch, or simply watch downtown Nashville life unfold before you. And yes, your four-legged friends are welcome too - the park is dog-friendly, so your pups can enjoy some outdoor time alongside you.

Location-wise, it couldn't be more convenient. Sitting directly across from the main Nashville Public Library (which offers restroom access when you need it), the park is within easy walking distance of downtown attractions and businesses. When hunger strikes, there's a café just across the street for a quick bite or drink.
