Greenways Park

A Neighborhood Oasis

Found in the southwestern corner of Amarillo, Greenways Park is located within The Greenways master-planned community. This public park offers a refreshing escape from the Texas heat with its sprawling lawns and network of smooth, paved trails that meander through the landscape.

Room to Roam

What you'll immediately notice about Greenways Park is its generous open spaces - excellent for spreading out a picnic blanket, tossing a frisbee, or simply letting the kids burn off some energy. The well-maintained walking paths loop across the grounds, making it easy to get your steps in while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The serene pond adds a touch of tranquility to your park experience, creating a lovely focal point for your stroll. If you're feeling more active, head over to the basketball courts for a pickup game, or check out the soccer fields - just keep in mind that the goals might be missing their nets.

Take a Break

When you need a moment to rest, the park offers several options. Children can climb and slide to their hearts' content at the small playground, while adults can relax in the gazebo or gather the family around the tables in the covered eating area.

A word of advice: while water fountains are available, they're not always working. It's a good idea to bring your own water bottle, especially during those hot summer days. The trails don't offer much shade, so staying hydrated is key.

Where Neighbors Meet

More than just a place to exercise or play, Greenways Park is where many residents connect. The park's design makes it easy for people to gather and socialize.

The park integrates well with The Greenways' residential areas, providing accessible green space. You'll often spot local dog owners taking their furry friends for a walk here - it's become something of an unofficial dog park for the community.
