There's also a skate park that draws skateboarders from all around, however currently the lighting has been temporarily removed, so plan your skating sessions accordingly.

Scattered across the grounds are picnic areas with tables and benches, making it easy to plan anything from a casual lunch to a full family gathering. The John Stiff Memorial Dog Park might just be your four-legged friend's favorite place in Amarillo. This spacious, fenced area allows dogs to run free, with separate sections for large and small dogs so everyone stays safe. You'll find plenty of parking around the park, however it can fill up quickly during sporting events. Restroom facilities are available, but be aware they may sometimes be closed or locked. While John Stiff Memorial Park offers an impressive array of amenities across its vast grounds, a few more trees would provide welcome shade during those scorching Texas summer days. Even so, this park remains an essential piece of Amarillo's outdoor landscape.
