About the Location

A Natural Oasis in the Entertainment District

Tucked between the giants of AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field lies a 73.8-acre breath of fresh air - Dr. Robert Cluck Linear Park. It offers a quiet reprieve from the Entertainment District's constant buzz.

The park's crown jewel is its 1.09-mile paved hike and bike trail that meanders alongside Johnson Creek. As you walk, jog, or cycle through, you can enjoy wetland views and lush greenery that provide a contrast to the surrounding busy Texas city.

Ecological Significance

About 20 acres of the park is devoted to something pretty special - ecosystem restoration. This area focuses on ecosystem restoration, providing habitat for local wildlife and featuring plants native to the Texas landscape.

As you explore, keep your eyes peeled for various birds flitting about and native plants doing their thing. Water features and artistic elements are placed along the trail, adding visual interest throughout.

Amenities and Heritage

The scenic gardens around the park are well-maintained and add color to the landscape. If you're in the mood to sit and stay awhile, picnic areas offer an excellent spot to enjoy a sandwich while soaking in the surroundings.

There's something meaningful about the park's name, too. Dr. Robert Cluck served as Arlington's mayor from 2003 to 2015, and this green space reflects the city's efforts to incorporate natural areas into urban settings.

Visitor Experience

The trails are clean and well-maintained, suitable for both exercise and casual walks. The park connects the major sports venues in the Entertainment District.

Note that there's very limited shade along the trail, so on those classic scorching Texas days, you'll want to bring water, sunscreen, and perhaps a hat. The park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 10PM, accommodating both early birds and evening strollers alike.
