For equestrians, there are dedicated equestrian trails available. Veterans Park boasts a unique interpretive trail that winds through different ecosystems, making it the only park in Arlington with this educational feature.

The park includes a fishing pond, allowing visitors to engage in recreational fishing. For those interested in native plant species, the park features a wildscape garden showcasing Texas plants.
There's also a xeriscape garden, demonstrating water-efficient landscaping techniques.

For community gatherings and events, Veterans Park offers a 35' x 35' pavilion equipped with electrical outlets, lighting, and picnic tables that can seat approximately 120 people. Additionally, the park features a performing arts shell with a partially covered stage, professional acoustic design, and stage lighting, suitable for outdoor performances and concerts.
Family-Friendly Amenities
Families with children can enjoy the playground areas, which include shaded sections for both 2-5 and 5-12 age groups. The park also provides informal fields and practice fields for various recreational activities.
