Located in the Northwest Hills of Austin, Allen Memorial County Park spans 10 acres of Texas Hill Country landscape. The park's limestone plateau creates a natural stage for a classic Juniper and Oak woodland, with small patches of grassland breaking up the tree cover here and there.

A highlight here is the panoramic view of Austin's skyline to the east. There's a bench where you can sit and take in the city vista - great for a moment of quiet contemplation or taking photos of Austin.

Exploring the Trails

The park's hiking trails meander through the woodland, offering a quick nature escape without having to venture far from the city. At just about one mile total when you complete all paths, these trails are perfect when you're in the mood for a short outdoor adventure but short on time.

This is definitely a bring-your-own-supplies kind of place. There's no electricity or drinking water available in the park, and you won't find functioning restrooms either. Plan accordingly by bringing water and handling bathroom needs before you arrive.

You'll discover parking available, and the park welcomes visitors daily from 7AM to 7PM. Since this is nestled in a residential area, keeping noise down and leaving no trace behind is just good neighbor etiquette.
