The park has beautiful shade trees that provide welcome relief on hot Texas days. Families particularly appreciate the variety of play equipment scattered across the grounds. A highlight of the park is its spacious swimming pool - nothing fancy, but great for cooling off during those sweltering summer months. The pool offers straightforward lanes ideal for casual lap swimming, complemented by a wooden deck area where you can dry off and relax.

Beyond the pool, Westenfield offers several options to stay active. You'll find well-maintained tennis courts, a basketball court that draws weekend warriors for pickup games, and a versatile multipurpose field that accommodates everything from frisbee to informal soccer matches.

While the play equipment might not be the newest in town, the mulch is kept in good condition for safety. Getting There

Heads up on parking - it's limited to just one regular spot and one handicap spot on Bridle Path. Most visitors end up parking along Winstead Lane or the Mopac service road when visiting. It's not ideal, but locals have made it work.

Movie buffs might recognize parts of Westenfield as a filming location for the 1993 cult classic "Dazed and Confused" - the park's wooded areas were the setting for the movie's infamous keg party scenes.
