History and Location

Givens District Park is a 40-acre public park located in East Austin, Texas. Acquired by the City of Austin in 1957, the park was named in honor of Dr. Everett H. Givens, a dentist, World War I veteran, and respected civic leader, in 1962.

The park features Tannehill Creek, which runs north to south through the entire area, providing water for many large shade trees along its banks.
