Located in the Travis Heights-Fairview Park neighborhood of Austin, Little Stacy Neighborhood Park spans 6.73 acres of green refuge. The park came to life in 1929 when Austin's city officials purchased the land from the Stacy Realty Company for $17,150 - not exactly pocket change back then!

Little Stacy offers a scenic spot in the urban landscape. The park sits at a picturesque horseshoe bend of Blunn Creek, offering a charming mix of dense woods and an open central field. It is the northern gateway to the Blunn Creek Greenbelt, which meanders south until it reaches Big Stacy Park and Pool - great for extending your outdoor adventure.

A notable feature is the shelter house from 1930. This isn't just any old structure - it's a beautifully preserved piece of Mission Revival architecture featuring two square rooms joined by a flat roof. Look closely and you'll appreciate the decorative tile work and intricate wrought iron grillwork adorning the windows.

Back in the day, this shelter house hosted community performances and games, preserving a connection to the park's heritage.

When summer heats up in Texas, the small wading pool from the 1930s provides a cooling spot for families. Beyond the pool, you'll discover plenty to keep you active - tennis courts, a volleyball court, a basketball half-court, and a well-designed playground that accommodates kids of different ages.
