At the heart of Veterans Park stands a monument that immediately catches your eye - six impressive columns, each bearing plaques that honor a different branch of the U.S. military: the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines. The park spans 2.54 acres of Austin land and serves as a peaceful tribute to those who've served in our nation's Armed Forces.

Throughout the grounds, you'll find engraved bronze plaques scattered along the paths. These aren't just ordinary markers - each one tells a personal story, dedicated by families honoring their loved ones who served. Far From Just a Memorial

While remembrance remains at its core, Veterans Park has evolved to offer something for everyone. Recent upgrades have added several amenities, including a basketball area protected by shade structures (helpful during those scorching Texas afternoons), a pavilion featuring a fishing pier, and newly constructed restroom facilities.
