Where Your Pup Can Run Free

Found in College Station, Steeplechase Park offers a dedicated off-leash area that's become a favorite hangout for local dog owners. The securely fenced enclosure gives your four-legged friend the freedom to zoom around and make some new canine buddies while you keep a watchful eye. There's a paved walking path that loops around the perimeter - excellent for when you want to stretch your legs while Fido socializes.

The dog park takes up a good portion of the park's 1.5 acres, giving your pup plenty of room to burn off energy in the open meadow areas. We've noticed the park is consistently clean and well-maintained - always a plus when you're spending time with your furry companion!

Good to Know Before You Go

Texas heat can be brutal, so you'll appreciate the water fountain and hose available for keeping your dog hydrated and cool. There are several benches scattered throughout where you can take a load off while watching your pup play.

You don't even need to pack the entire house - the park provides waste bags (though bringing your own is always a good backup plan) and there are even some dog toys available for community use. The secure gate system ensures your escape artist stays safely within the boundaries of the play area.

Beyond the Dog Zone

Bringing the whole family? You're in luck! Just outside the fenced area, you can find a large playground for the kiddos, positioned so you can keep an eye on both your children and your dog without running back and forth.

If you're planning to make an afternoon of it, there are picnic tables located outside the dog park section - excellent for a quick lunch or snack break. The thoughtful layout of Steeplechase means you'll have good visibility throughout the park, making it easy to keep track of your furry friend's adventures.
