You'll come across drinking water stations throughout, and plenty of open areas excellent for spreading out a picnic blanket.

Your four-legged friends are welcome at Lake Highlands Park, but you'll need to keep them leashed - park patrols do enforce this rule consistently. The grassy areas provide plenty of space for your pup to explore while staying connected to you.
