The main feature of Borderland Park is its playground area, where kids can play and burn off energy. Instead of those pesky woodchips that get in shoes and socks, this playground features rubber flooring - much more comfortable and safer for the little ones. Toddlers (1-2 years) will love the slides that sit nice and low to the ground, making them well-suited for independent play. There are swings too, although keep in mind they can get pretty toasty under the Texas sun since they don't have any shade cover.
When snack time rolls around, you'll find shaded picnic tables under a pavilion adjacent to the playground. With about 3-5 tables available, all nicely sheltered from the sun, it's an ideal spot to catch your breath or enjoy a family picnic while keeping an eye on the kids.

Dog owners will appreciate that their furry friends are welcome here, but you'll need to keep them on a leash since there's no fencing around the park. One thing to note: there are no restroom facilities available, so plan accordingly before your visit.
